Asian Pacific American Students Association

The purpose of the Asian/Pacific American Students Association shall be to provide its member with a common forum for expressing their needs and concerns as law students; to provide members with a mechanism for meeting their needs and adequately handling their concerns. Toward accomplishing the organizational purpose, the Association shall effectuate programs and maintain viable organizational operations.

We are an organization whose goals are to strengthen relations between Asian/Pacific law students and the local and national Asian/ Pacific Bar associations, pursue academic excellence, foster community assistance, improve employment and training opportunity of association members, and to serve as a social forum for our members.

All are welcome to participate and help make APALSA a stronger organization here at the University of Miami Law School.

Membership:

Membership is open to all. Dues for 2007-2008: $35 to be paid to the treasurer. Contact any member of the executive board if interested.

Leadership Positions:

Elections- occur in the Spring. Anyone can volunteer. Candidates must write short blurb on why they would like to run. Voting will be managed by current E-Board members who will not be running for any other positions.
