Student Organizations

The student body of the School of Law is as diverse as the community in which the School is located.

The J.D. program enrolls more than 1,300 students from more than 350 colleges and universities throughout the United States. Approximately 43 percent of the students are women, 32 percent are members of minority groups, and nearly 45 percent are from outside of Florida. The School also draws students from many foreign countries. The master of laws in comparative law program typically enrolls approximately 30 foreign lawyers from 20 or more nations, including Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Venezuela, and many others.

The School also has a number of students with extensive work experience in a variety of professions, including architecture, business, and medicine. The School's cultural and experiential diversity has created an exciting dynamic as students learn from one another as well as from interaction with the faculty. The School provides an array of activities to match the interests and needs of its students, including numerous governance groups, publications, and student organizations.
